Limitless Life

Limitless Life by Derwin L. Gray

I found myself really wanting to meet Derwin L. Gray the more I read. His heart walked me through the chapters and he shared a message worth reading the whole book to get:
"Only God knows how many dreams have been killed at the altar of fear. It must break His heart to see dreams He has placed in so many people's hearts go unrealized because we have more faith in fear than in Him." Powerful!

I loved the point he shares on our courage being as big as our belief in God!

The only reason I didn't give this book five stars is because after the first couple or few chapters and until the last two or so chapters... it me awhile to get through. I didn't connect deeply enough with it to really look forward to reading it every time I opened it.

The last part is as good as the first though and the truth in it is something I used to inspire my husband. He has always told me to stop putting human ties on dreams because God is big enough to make them come true far beyond what we see. Along the way, he kind of tucked that belief in a stack of bills somewhere and forgot what they looked like.
He was sharing something he wanted to do concerning a big project he is doing for our home. It dawned on me while he was talking and later ... I had to go tell him to not put boundaries around his dreams... that God can do anything!
After a day of thinking about it, he came back and said that I was right. He also started dreaming again!
I'll close this with one more quote:

"How many people woke up this morning hating their jobs? How many people only pursue certain jobs because of the money they will make? Life is too sort, and you are too important to God and His plans to occuy earth with His kingdom, for you to simply 'go to work.' " He placed a song in your heart that He wants you to dance to."

Trim Healthy Mama

Trim Healthy Mama by Serene Allison and Pearl Barrett

This is one of my favorite books of all time and I love a lot of books! I couldn't wait to get it and am so happy to have it. There is so much nutritional wisdom that it is amazing and is filled with great recipes.

No More Perfect Moms by Jill Savage

I am doing an online study with this book and that has helped me enjoy it. I have been really, really busy since starting it so I haven't savored it quite well enough. I keep trying to catch up with where I'm supposed to be and kind of just devour in spurts! From what I have gained from it though - there is a lot, lot of truth I wish I had found as a younger mother of small and growing children!

My review is using the Kindle version of the book.

All-in2Night Review

All-In2Night was a nice read. I wasn't sure what to expect from it but was glad I got it. I underlined the idea to tuck the children into bed each night and listen to stories about their day. I thought it was neat to read a Christian story from a fun activity book (even though we read a variety of Christian books during our bedtime routines) and to pray with them. Sharing prayer with children is always special and right before bed is very special.

There are a lot of Scriptures to help in parenting and I really appreciated how nicely they were printed out and marked them to keep handy. The book shares practical tips on raising children in the Lord and it was a good read.

It is nice to have 40 weeks worth of All-In2Night activity ideas to try out and I will share this book with others!

Bookcrash sent me this book free of charge in exchange for an honest review.
