All-In2Night was a nice read. I wasn't sure what to expect from it but was glad I got it. I underlined the idea to tuck the children into bed each night and listen to stories about their day. I thought it was neat to read a Christian story from a fun activity book (even though we read a variety of Christian books during our bedtime routines) and to pray with them. Sharing prayer with children is always special and right before bed is very special.<br /><br />There are a lot of Scriptures to help in parenting and I really appreciated how nicely they were printed out and marked them to keep handy. The book shares practical tips on raising children in the Lord and it was a good read.<br /><br />It is nice to have 40 weeks worth of All-In2Night activity ideas to try out and I will share this book with others!<br /><br />Bookcrash sent me this book free of charge in exchange for an honest review.</div>

This booklet is 8 mini chapters with brief points on some important topics for marriage.<br />The author shares a bit on a married couple learning to live as one and the main points touched on are: Joining together as a couple, submission and why to submit, preparing for God to work, loving as Christ loves the church and bringing all of those together.<br />This seems to be an excellent idea to hand out to couples engaged to be married. It is a nice quality book to be small to mid size and would make a pretty addition to a pre-wedding gift.<br />I didn't really love reading through the book (did so at once though) and I'm not sure why. I think it could be that it didn't really pull me in. I found myself focusing on finishing it rather than being engaged in the reading.<br />This book isn't likely to reach any group other than Christians but a lot of things written seem to be this way: either strong towards one religious view point or only enjoyed by those who don't follow a particular religion.<br />I was fond of the layout and it made the reading better and I really appreciated the Scriptures shared and relevancy of their placement.<br />Disclosure of material: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookCrash.com book review program, which requires an honest, though not necessarily positive, review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's CFR Title 16, Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising."</div>

I have shelves of cookbooks and love them all. This book was love at first sight and deeper love after the flip of the first page. Before I even reached the second chapter, I was torn between cozying down to read every word and taking it to the kitchen to make some fragrant, culinary delight. Since then, I have done both! I open this book and keep it close by when making smoothies, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, new dishes and anything I can find to use it with!<br />My baking, cooking and food prep all the way around is so much better with this gift!</div>

<br />
It was rich in real -life relationship building in a world where we tend as (Christians and not) to congregate in our own, little groups.<br />
<br />
I will admit to being challenged in more than one of the areas I was reading. I was pushed from the inside to break through comfort zones and live beyond them.<br />
<br />
This book teaches loving as Christ loved, radically and and with a greater love than found in this world.<br />
<br />
Scott Sauls reached deeply into my heart and helped me ask myself what is really there.<br />
Great read. I gifted it to someone in my Ladies group at church!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
"Every sacrifice you make now will pay dividends both now and down the road. That's because a child's positive self-image, view of the world, concept of faith, and sense of security are all formed by spending time with parents in a loving environment." Dr. Kevin Leman</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
No pressure or anything. :)<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This book had some good points and I underlined them here and there throughout the book. I've read quite a few family/parenting books in the 30+ years I've been a parent and this one didn't stand out for me. It was okay and maybe would appeal to a younger dad, mom or care giver but it wasn't a fascinating (to say the least) read for me. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
One thing though, shared in the pages of this book should be shouted from the top of every parent's roof top: </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br />"When does your 'help' hurt your kids? When you do things they can do for themselves." </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We've parented both ways ... not helping our kids with what they could do themselves and helping too much. The former is surely the better way. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I didn't learn to survive and thrive when I've managed it from what my mom did for me but I have been empowered from what she expected me to do without her help. This is a great lesson the book shares more on. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Another great point shared by this author is to let children learn from their own consequences. Instead of getting frustrated, nagging, and/or complaining over having to pay for their actions... don't. Let them wear dirty clothes if they don't get them to the laundry and/or deal with school discipline if they forget an assignment. Don't take away from your time to fix it. Trust me, some of us need every single second of the school day to do what ever it is we need to do! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
In case it sounds like I am telling you what to do... please know I'm not. I wouldn't do that to you for it would imply that I am a shining example to follow. I have both been successful in this area and failed beyond miserably. The one thing I did right and strongly encourage anyone who will listen is... I prayed for God to teach and train my kids in spite of my failures... that is worth repeating! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This book was filled with so much information and the content was so thorough, I read it in slabs of time. Usually, I would read a chapter in the early mornings after my quiet time routine. I felt I was learning from start to finish and it was almost like having a course in health without the classes! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There are lots of questions in the first several pages to help the reader learn where he/she is health wise. From there, Haylie Pomroy gives great insight on metabolism from the simplicity of it being what your body does with the food you eat to and through metabolic pathways. Don't worry - if some of that sounds as big to you as it did to me... explanations are rich and resplendent for each and every topic shared. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Fast Metabolism Food RX takes you through a checklist to see what your body is telling you. This helps one figure out the best healing path to take. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Along with an amazing amount of sound teaching are recipes I am really looking forward to trying. I think my firsts will be: Green Smoothie, Slow Turkey Chili (for my husband and son and I will substitute turkey with mushrooms!) and Vegetarian Bean Soup. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This book really supercharged me and I was ready to dive back into healthy eating before I finished reading! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Two quotes from this fact filled book:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
"Don't be afraid to dance again, to love again, to trust again. Don't be afraid to view your body as healthy and vibrant and alive." </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
"Find new websites, and apps, and online food sources that serve you. Embrace cooking." </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYHvuFvOLI2P2nYCEoKLr1HApZ-CBoGRd0GquDK99ObLJCr15K_-xHIq9JB2MDpg2G6fMqHg8AQMWMx6YpxJaXoB3QPgIC0XV2Wsacdeicbw2txy70qBrC9kUtqMtA9nSgMPxlUmRqt2Q/s1600/regretfreeliving.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYHvuFvOLI2P2nYCEoKLr1HApZ-CBoGRd0GquDK99ObLJCr15K_-xHIq9JB2MDpg2G6fMqHg8AQMWMx6YpxJaXoB3QPgIC0XV2Wsacdeicbw2txy70qBrC9kUtqMtA9nSgMPxlUmRqt2Q/s320/regretfreeliving.jpg" width="211" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
This book is filled with truth to offer solid ways to have no regrets (or fewer of them) in almost any relationship. <br />
<br />
"The reason so many people have such a problem comprehending the toxicity of their own resentment is that resentment seethes at a person's deepest level. It lies festering and slowly rolling away beneath everything its host does, says, and thinks."<br />
<br />
The above shared quote really spoke to me for I have been on or seen both sides of resentment. I have watched others poison their entire lives with the resentment they held for someone and I have felt it myself and been consumed by it. <br />
<br />
The entire book shares strong ways of not allowing negative emotions and thoughts hold you hostage. When we live with a clean conscious, regrets lose their power. <br />
<br />
Stephen Aterburn shares the need to assess the good and bad relationships in your life ... to carefully look at them. He suggests taking input from friends on your strengths and weaknesses in their relationships with you and to survey the relationship history. Reflect on where things have gone wrong in those where there is a break or problem. <br />
<br />
From that place in the book, I found myself underlying entire paragraphs of information, which challenged me, made me look deeper into my heart and taught me a great deal. <br />
<br />
Some of the highlights this book gives: I'm adding the actual chapter titles, my notes and some of the author's quotes from each section.<br />
<br />
* Acknowledging your responsibility. Assess the wrong you've done according to the standards of Jesus.<br />
<br />
* Stop the bleeding. Withdraw. Step back. Take a second look.<br />
<br />
* When It's Not Getting Better. Before letting go, do everything you can to make it right. "To lose your dignity means to betray yourself. And you never feel any regret as deeply as that of having betrayed your own self."<br />
<br />
It is hard to narrow down all this book shares. Do yourself a favor and take the time to read the book yourself ... it is overflowing with rich truth to help in all life's relationships!<br />
<br />
I'll close with what Mr. Arterburn gives as Six Qualities of a Happy, Regret-Free Relationship<br />
<br />
1. Affection.<br />
2. Respect.<br />
3. Shared Values.<br />
4. Honesty.<br />
5. Trust.<br />
6. Freedom to be.<br />
<br />
I am so glad I read this book and will likely refer others to read it in the future.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Little One, God Loves You by Amy Warren Hilliker is just the right size and length of reading for a young child. It is listed for ages 4 and under but I have grandchildren in ages from under a year to 10 years old and I think it will best fit ages 2 and under. It is so adorable and sweet, it will be a cute read at any young age! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The illustrations from front cover to back are absolutely beautiful. There are short and single sentence per every page or so and this is ideal for the kind of book it is. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Giving children God's message of love cannot start too soon and this is a great help in that direction. I think it would also a dear and lovely gift on it's own or tucked into an Easter bag or child-themed gift basket! </div>

<br />
<br />
<br />
The Trim Healthy Mama Plan is a beautiful book and it has simplified things a lot from the original, Trim Healthy Mama book.<br />
<br />
I have this thing about reading every single page of every book I review and this includes cook books. This is a thorough read and filled to overflowing with pages. Had I not been reviewing, I may have sipped it more like a tea rather than the gulping down like one of the delicious drinks in the <a href="http://asandypathbookreviews.blogspot.com/2015/12/trim-healthy-mama-cookbook.html">cookbook</a> I reviewed recently.<br />
<br />
It still isn't commonly clear to me how to balance S meals (Satisfying) and E meals (Energizing) and Fuel pulls, Crossovers, and so on are not second nature to my diet. All of those are finally making sense and I'm grasping more of how they work the more I read!<br />
<br />
The main point of the entire book is the same as the original and is found on page 18 of this book:<br />
<br />
"Your body does not burn both fats and carbs at the same time. When you eat a meal, you must always burn the carbs in the meal first."<br />
<br />
This idea is explained in deep detail and I loved seeing meal builders - a quick way to see how to pull together which ever meal you are having.<br />
<br />
I really liked a lot in this book but I will highlight a few of my favorites:<br />
<br />
* It is important to space S to E meals as well as E to S meals 2 1/2 to 3 hours apart. This may not make sense reading it here. . . it sure hasn't to me until now ... but the spacing is excellent even for regular meals. I'm on thyroid medicine and when I discussed my weight gain with my doctor, he gave me some ideas to help me safely lose weight and one important thing was to space eating three hours apart.<br />
* Chapter 12, Thirsty Mama shares a good deal on what drinks are good and those not so good. This is important because it is important to stay hydrated but most drinks are as many calories as meals. There is a more nourishing way and this book shares it!<br />
* The authors place an importance on nurturing your body and your life. They mention (more than once) to allow grace and to not stress.<br />
<br />
I'm not on the full Trim Healthy Mama Plan but I am using a good deal of it and I will just see how things go from here!<br />
<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
"Becoming a better leader personally doesn't happen on a whim. Or by accident. You have to work at it. You don't develop leaders by accident. You have to be intentional. Remember, leadership is hard work, and thus must be habitual work."</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Brad Lomenick</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The highest rating we can give books is five but this deserves 10. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have been reading books on leadership, motivation, positive living, and success for 27 years. "Be Humble, Stay Hungry, Always Hustle," by Brad Lomenick belongs on the same shelf as "How to Win Friends & Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. For me, I am grouping it with some of my all- time favorite authors like Zig Ziglar, Stephen R. Covey, Jim Rohn, Napolean Hill, Norman Vincent Peale, and Og Mandino. </div>
<br />
One amazing thing about this book is how much wisdom it offers for anyone in any kind of leadership role. The main focus is on creating and sustaining success and it will work for anyone from a mother to the president of a huge organization.<br />
<br />
Each chapter is filled with golden gifts of truth to let in, learn from and live out. At the end of these chapters are small and relevant tips from successful people.<br />
<br />
Brad Lomenick has done a fantastic job of neatly packing an amazing amount of life's lessons into one book. He takes his readers through the importance of identifying who they are, how they could and maybe should be, and shares the real need for connection and community with others. He guides through creating consistency, establishing habits and breaking past fear. One of my favorite quotes in this book is found on page 120:<br />"Fear is the calling crippler. Bravery is the antidote." Love it.<br />
<br />
I'll close this review with what is the most vital, for me, of everything else. It is biblically sound. The Scriptures included fit right in where they are shared and guide right to the heart of it all. What is God's call and will you answer it? This book may be a great help on the journey!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The quality is excellent and it is beautiful inside and out. Glossy pages are filled with absolutely delicious looking pictures! I am hoping to try out each and every easy- to- read recipe. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The introduction is likely the best of any book I've read through yet. Serving sizes are explained, a few, helpful kitchen tools are suggested and notes on stocking up the kitchen are given. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have made many of the recipes in the original <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Trim-Healthy-Mama-Pearl-Barrett/dp/0988775115/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1450412650&sr=8-3&keywords=trim+healthy+mama">Trim Healthy Mama</a> book by the same authors and loved every one. I love the new cookbook so much that I rushed to review it and before I tried the recipes in it. I am really looking forward to making them from a "Wicked White Chili" for the crockpot to a "Soothe Your Soul" soup. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<br />
I love this book so far!<br />
I have been reading and am really looking forward to trying the green drinks - all 125 pages of them.<br />
<br />
The author shares lots of lovelies in this pretty and perfectly sized book. I find myself tossing it in my tote bag to read and flip through on the go.<br />
The book gives a brief list of equipment to have, a section on greens, add in's like superfoods and a page on natural sweeteners.<br />
On your way to the recipes, you will find time savers, money-saving tips, and smoothie bases. Once you get to the recipes, they are organized by type. Seek out juices and/or smoothies from detoxing to energizing.<br />
<br />
I'm not getting anything for this review. My sister gifted it to me from a thrift store but after having it a few weeks, I would likely purchase this!<br />

Limitless Life by Derwin L. Gray</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I found myself really wanting to meet Derwin L. Gray the more I read. His heart walked me through the chapters and he shared a message worth reading the whole book to get:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
"Only God knows how many dreams have been killed at the altar of fear. It must break His heart to see dreams He has placed in so many people's hearts go unrealized because we have more faith in fear than in Him." Powerful!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I loved the point he shares on our courage being as big as our belief in God!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The only reason I didn't give this book five stars is because after the first couple or few chapters and until the last two or so chapters... it me awhile to get through. I didn't connect deeply enough with it to really look forward to reading it every time I opened it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The last part is as good as the first though and the truth in it is something I used to inspire my husband. He has always told me to stop putting human ties on dreams because God is big enough to make them come true far beyond what we see. Along the way, he kind of tucked that belief in a stack of bills somewhere and forgot what they looked like. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
He was sharing something he wanted to do concerning a big project he is doing for our home. It dawned on me while he was talking and later ... I had to go tell him to not put boundaries around his dreams... that God can do anything! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After a day of thinking about it, he came back and said that I was right. He also started dreaming again!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'll close this with one more quote:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
"How many people woke up this morning hating their jobs? How many people only pursue certain jobs because of the money they will make? Life is too sort, and you are too important to God and His plans to occuy earth with His kingdom, for you to simply 'go to work.' " He placed a song in your heart that He wants you to dance to." </div>

This is one of my favorite books of all time and I love a lot of books! I couldn't wait to get it and am so happy to have it. I am doing an online study with this book and that has helped me enjoy it. I have been really, really busy since starting it so I haven't savored it quite well enough. I keep trying to catch up with where I'm supposed to be and kind of just devour in spurts! From what I have gained from it though - there is a lot, lot of truth I wish I had found as a younger mother of small and growing children!<br />
<br />
My review is using the Kindle version of the book.<br />

I wasn't sure what to expect from it but was glad I got it. I underlined the idea to tuck the children into bed each night and listen to stories about their day. I thought it was neat to read a Christian story from a fun activity book (even though we read a variety of Christian books during our bedtime routines) and to pray with them. Sharing prayer with children is always special and right before bed is very special.</span><br style="background-color: white; font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;" /><br style="background-color: white; font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;" /><span style="background-color: white; font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">There are a lot of Scriptures to help in parenting and I really appreciated how nicely they were printed out and marked them to keep handy. It shares a lot of real situations and covers many reasons prone to cause problems in churches.<br />
It can get frustrating to read through with so many negative situations are shared - page after page. It took longer to read because I didn't want to deal with so many problematic scenarios but the point may have been that Pastors must handle them daily.<br />
The tone in parts of the book felt somewhat negative and I found myself not looking forward to reading it each evening.<br />
<br />
The great part of the book is towards the end where biblical truths are put into practical ideas for handling conflicts as Christians. This information was very helpful for churches of any size, for families and individuals in relationships.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A Woman's Guide to Reading the Bible in a Year by Diane Stortz is a book I wanted to open as soon as I saw the pretty cover. The Stories of the Journey starts it out and I was inspired reading them and felt I should start a group of women for the same purpose... to seek God through His Word. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I enjoyed the heart of friendship and sisterhood that gets strengthened as the Bible is read, reflected on, and shared from. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After reading the small sections before the weekly main points and questions, I decided to pray for God's direction and see if some ladies were interested. So far, every one I have spoken to have wanted to join me with one maybe! We are all buying copies of the book so we can work through them together and I just love the layout. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Each "Weeks of the Journey" has a page of notes on the Scriptures for the week, a list of what chapters to read each day and checkpoints... kind of like key topics or main points. There is also a quote and a small list of questions to ask.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have already bought three copies of this book and have people buying more so we can all be reading together as a group. </div>

This book of quotes taken directly from writings (from 1947 to 2010) of Billy Graham's is one I plan to keep close by. The pages are like a river flowing from one place to the next of wise sayings and truth filled thoughts.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">The book is organized with 389 topics and each gathering of quotes starts off with a relevant Scripture. One would think a big book of just quotes would be blah or boring but the heart of a man all out for God shines through. I found myself reading straight through some times as well as grabbing the book to look up specific subjects in others.</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">This book is right on as a resource for sharing Bible drenched thoughts in correspondence, for personal use, in writing and more.</span><br />

<span style="background-color: white; font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">This quote from page 68 on Comfort shows a glimpse of what the book holds:</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">"We should go to no place that we would not go in His presence.</span><br />

experiences and the stories were strength for my heart. I loved reading of the
victorious walks coming from hard circumstances. Lucille O’Neal shared her
personal struggles and gave credit to the Lord for helping her through hard
times. She asks at one point: “But how can we expect to receive God’s love,
mercy, and grace if we’re not ready with open arms?” and that question is a
theme to the very end of the book. I loved the forty scriptures she shares at
the end of the book and the personal notes she added to each. When I finished
this book, I felt renewed hope that age shouldn’t stop diving into dreams and
it has helped me learned to … walk as if I have somewhere to go! <o:p></o:p></span></div>
